When engaging with people and things, I aim to express the importance of looking beyond the surface and focusing on their inner nature and surrounding environment. By layering paint so that the viewer's gaze is drawn not only to the main motif but also to the background, I strive to create works where each element mutually influences the other to form a balanced, equal presence.
On the canvas, I layer paint repeatedly to create a textured, three-dimensional surface. I also enjoy the creative process of allowing colors to resonate with one another, as the base layers subtly peek through from beneath the overlapping colors.
