Artist Profile:
I create works on the theme of negative emotions that humans possess, such as "loneliness, sadness, anger, and pain." These negative emotions are like shadows clinging to everyday life. I want to create works that gently comfort those who are hurt and whose shadows are deepening.
I use transparent watercolors, colored pencils, and oil pastels. I repeatedly layer paints, painting like Japanese nihonga, washing off the paint, and then painting again, to create my works.
