To leave behind the traces left by an incomplete body that can never reach its destination.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons I continue to paint.
Beneath the painting lie layers of memories.
Hesitant lines, and shapes that were supposedly erased by being painted over.
With each layer, the more opaque the surface becomes, the deeper, and deeper they are hidden.
I hope that these protected layers of color will someday quietly resonate with someone's memories.
