Artist Profile:
The things I value when creating art are "scenery," "reverence for nature," "time," "light," and "the viewer."

In my late twenties, I became visually impaired. An encounter with a contemporary artist made me realize that there are things only I can see. I strive to share the experience of how everyone sees the world differently, and what I feel.

Having worked as an anime background artist, I understand the importance of creating a unique world. By focusing and drawing this sensibility onto a square canvas, I try to give depth to my expression using the "space and worldview" effect that a square possesses. While treating the painting as an independent landscape, I also give it the role of a "background" where the painting changes for each viewer (the protagonist).

I value expressing the beauty of the sea and the reverence for nature that I experienced while living on Niijima in the Izu Seven Islands. By consciously expressing texture, I imbue the resulting "materiality and presence" with the role of "vitality and time." I want viewers to feel the present moment, every second of it.

About the artwork:
I have to go back, but I don't know how to get there.
You and the scenery that live in my dreams.
Gradually, I'm forgetting how to get there.
I can't even remember your face.
