Artist Profile:
As we go about our daily lives, I feel that people unconsciously connect their emotions and thoughts. I create my work using the collage technique, which means "gluing," because I want to give form to these invisible inner connections.
I use newspaper as a material because I believe that we cannot live detached from events and social trends happening in the world, and that the "self" is formed through these connections. By cutting out and layering information that flows through daily life, I confront my own emotions and thoughts.
Through my work, I hope to convey the feeling that every thought and event has meaning, and that someday they will all connect. I also hope it can be an opportunity for people to cherish the small emotions and thoughts within themselves.
