Artist Profile:
My work is an attempt to explore the fusion of "objects and painting." In addition to paints and canvas, I combine disparate materials and three-dimensional objects to break down the flatness of painting, giving the work multi-layered meanings.
Furthermore, by painting on box-like supports, rather than just viewing from the front, I aim to create new visual experiences within the work through the materiality and presence of objects, and to make viewers acutely aware of the physical existence of the work itself.
I pursue the possibility of new expressions born from the interaction of objects and painting, where painting transcends visual art and becomes a place to re-examine the nature and meaning of matter itself.
