Artist Bio:
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, now based in Tokyo — a displacement that quietly shapes everything.
Working under the name Sudaka, she is a graphic designer and visual artist whose practice is rooted in mixed media collage.
The materials she works with are never arbitrary. Sourced from Japanese mass-media, stamped motifs, hand-drawn gestures, and symbolism coexist on the same surface: yin-yang symbols, cartoon characters, price tags, bodies, flowers, and street scenes collide without hierarchy into dense visual fields that refuse easy resolution.
Beneath it all, the sensibility of Buenos Aires remains — it’s energy, it’s contradictions, it’s way of seeing.
Her works explore how identity, desire, and memory are constructed through the images that surround us — and what it means to inhabit two visual cultures at once, belonging fully to neither.
